And it looks bloody fantastic! Its the first brand new body Ive bought, all my others have been nearly new second hand. It was a lovely experience opening it up and turning it on for the first time!
Now I have a big manual to read and this will keep me occupied for some time. Do any other users have any nice pics they can post up to show me what this beast is capable of? And any hints/tips.

Cheers!

Congratulations on your new toy :)

As the D90 is basically just a D300 in a prosumer body you'll be able to get some cracking shots from it - enjoy

Good luck with the new camera! You'll have great fun learning.

Enjoy your early xmas pressy:)

Nice one.
'Tis a great feeling, that's for sure.

Oh and good luck with the manual. My D200 manual is a pile of pooh!!!
(Try Ken Rockwell's site. His manuals are ACE!)

The D90 seems to get very good reviews and of course was the first camera to feature HD video recording.

Hope you enjoy your new toy :):woot:

I`d go for a Magic lantern book or one from David Busch. Not too sure how much i would trust KR after reading his reviews!

I'm jelly. Enjoy your new toy.

It certainly takes very very clean noise free images!

Can't wait for a nice winters day to go shooting :)

I  my D90

This is a HDR shot but the 3 original images were all at IS0 3200

Taken on my first day with a D90

Had mine for a month or two and absolutely love it, so far done a bit of Motorsport and a bit of night shooting, and I feel completely justified in upgrading from my D50.

Still getting my head around a few of the more advanced settings, but the biggest benefit so far has been having so many extra buttons on the actual body, 99% of the stuff I need to access when shooting is now available without going near the menus.
