joining two images

Hi everyone I,m after some advice plz
Im using cs5 and I would like to join two images together I would like to put a image of my grand daughter on a Christmas bauble
so my question is how would I go about doing that as my grasp of cs5 is very limited I,e cropping /sharpening/ so this is a first for me
I realise this would seem a simple task for some but like I said my photoshop skills are very basic so any help and advice would be really appreciated .

There's a shed load of other tutorials out there too.

Just search for "putting an image on a sphere in photoshop" in Google.

I can;'t vouch for any of them. I can honestly say I've never once needed to do this.

open your bauble image...
then open the pic of your granddaughter... either copy the whole image of her or draw round her outline and copy the selection...
Go back to your bauble image and create a new layer... then paste the image of your granddaughter onto that layer...
Go to the layer blending options and scroll through them and find which one is best suited to showing her blended into the bauble so to speak...
Overlay is a good option for blending but it depends on the picture..
