Yes
Just watching Johnny Cash on Sky Arts. I've seen it a few times before but I always see something more.

I remember listening to him as a kid when my day played him along with others and he's always been there in my memory.

Wonderful voice. Wonderful lyrics. Temperamental.

Anyway, not to every ones taste, but definitely, to mine.

"If I ever have a son, I'm gonna name him....Bill, or George, anything but Sue!"

Cheers.

Ah yes I remember quoting "One piece at a time"
To some unhelpful Customer service person while trying to get a missing part or two from a newly bought appliance.
As in do you really think I'm gonna build my own? FFS :D

A talented singer songwriter indeed

Yes, one of the true greats. He lived life to the full. The two prison concerts he did showed the true mettle of the man.

And a voice to die for!

Philistines, I await the opportunity to say, "But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die"

A talented singer songwriter indeed (y)

Yeah, the emotions in his voice were stunning.

Cheers.

My son is lucky enough to have an original signature of JC, given to him from a American friend who attended one of JCs concerts.

Lifelong fan here. I quoted some of his lyrics in my speech for my daughters wedding...

"It can lift you up never let you down
Take your world and turn it around
Ever since time nothing's ever been found
That's stronger than love"

Johnny was one of the true greats. I remember when I was young, each morning my father would get up early to light the fire. It was always warm for when we would come downstairs for breakfast, and the sound of Johnny playing on the turntable. This was the start for me, and I still listen to the great man to this day. Happy memories. Thanks to the OP for reminding me.

His cover of Hurt still gives me goosebumps.
