I am currently working offshore in Brazil where getting a camera is tricky. I placed an order with the faceless company that is Jessops as they had the best price and availability for a D90 (sadly..!), having it delivered to a colleagues address. Ordering just before the weekend, the bank holiday, I was assured the goods would be delivered today, Wednesday the 2nd. After checking the "track order button" on the Jessops webiste it tells me that the order is being processed. A few expensive sat phonecalls later I am told the goods will be delivered at 21:00 to my colleagues office. 21:00! The website says deliveries made between 08:30 and 17:00...

So no doubt it will be back to the warehouse and another day or two later it will arrive after which my colleague will likely fly out here to replace me and I shall be off to Colombia for 2 months without a camera. Thank you Jessops. Once again another reason to avoid large chains because frankly, they don't give a ****. Never again Jessops...

Sounds more like a problem with the courier, than Jessops themselves. As Jessops use usually use City Link this doesn't surprise me one little bit.....

:bang:

hope things work out for you

You are right, it is a CItyLink problem. However, Jessops have made it their problem by using CityLink. A rubbish courier and an online order tracking that doesn't work all adds up to a very poor service provided by Jessops.

Cheers Berkutschi, I hope it works out too.

"Honestly, my photos would have been great, it was the dodgy camera I bought for next to nothing in Bogota!"
