Hi, Im a newbie here, dont know anything about brands etc, im looking at getting my first tripod for my canon EOS 40 D, do you think this would be a good starting point?
 
How long does this offer last? I can't seem to find any info on their website.

Giottos make good support gear. Just make sure that the maximum capacity of your chosen head and legs can take your heaviest body/lens/accessory combination
