Has anyone ever been on one of these 1 days jessops courses? are they any good?
I know the instore staff are possibly not the most technical you are ever likely to come across, but was interested in finding out a bit more about the courses and the rates for a day are pretty reasonable.
I have been on a couple of the Eos Seminars, which whilst good are pricey in comparison.
Can any one offer their opinions?

James

How much are the EOS compared to the Jessops?

Quite a difference then, but sorry not been on a Jessops course, didn't know they did them actually.

Nor did, i kinda stumbled across them by accident. I guess £50 isnt a lot to try one out but i would like to get an idea of what they are like, as it could be £50 towards a possibly better EOS course

My local college is running digital photography course for night a week for 10 weeks and it costs £57.

Yeah my local college does a 10 week course of 2 hrs a week for £55

Hi James, here is my two pence worth :)

If you want to know how to use the camera (what the buttons do) then the EOS course would probably be better.

If you want to learn general photogarphy techniques and principles (so you have to figure out how your camera works yourself) then do a short college course.

Also, on the college course, there will be at least a dozen people and they will help you use your camera too.

Also, you get a week between lessons to figure stuff out, practice and let the lesson sink in :)

Thanks for the input guys.
I have done one of the EOS courses for the canon 30D and I have just finished part 1 of city and guilds digital photography at my local college, but have to wait until September to start part 2 as it is a year long course. So really what i was looking for is a stop gap until the next course starts, i guess i will try one of the jessops ones in the new year and can feedback on here if they are any good or not.
