jessops hotshoe adaptor, need help

i've been looking at flash options for my sony and i've come across this hotshoe adaptor to be able to fit standard fit flash units to the sony one.

can anyone tell me what the score would be regarding off camera flash when using this?

Not sure what you mean, that adapter is for mounting a flashgun with a regular foot onto a Sony hotshoe, add any regular-fit set of triggers and flashgun and you're good to go...

i'll be honest,i know b****r all about flash guns lol. if i buy say a nikon flash to use with this adaptor can i use that flash off camera?

Yes, as long as you have a set of wireless triggers as well. The flash will only be able to be used in manual mode.

Yes, I'd avoid that interfit adapter though, looks like junk....

Yes,

I use Nikon flashguns with my Panasonic GF1

iv been given a nikon fit flash gun.
by getting this mount would i be able to use it on my sony with an off camera flash cord ??

dont buy it!!!!!! i brought one of them to fire my kenko IR transmitter and the build quality is rubbish and the contacts never touched, worst £25 i ever spent!!!

i recommend ones by pixel on ebay, excellent products and really cheap

Yes, but in full manual mode only, I've sold loads of the Pixel one to people to do just that.
