Hi there.

This post is mainly for anyone in or near the north west. If that's not you, you'll be bored by this post so move on!!

Anyway, as you know, there are a few Jessops stores in the north west that are closing down. One of these is in Stockport (Princes St.)

After a wasted journey there today, it turns out that all of their 'old stock' that is being sold off cheaply at special 'clearance stores'.

For your info, these stores can be found at the current locations - more details on addresses on Jessops web site.

Buxton - Spring Gardens

Cheetham Hill - Fort Retail Park

Bolton - Middlebrook Retail Park.

I visited the Cheetham Hill branch today which had some pretty decent bargains (Cokin Filters - £1 each, DVD-R's 25 for £2.50 and a D40 with kit lens for £251).

Gonna try my luck at Bolton tomorrow, so if anyone fancies a shopping trip (and a free lift from Altrincham ;) , drop me a line). Cheers - Anth.

b****r, Bolton aint to far from me but I am not here tomorrow :(

Damn

I'd love to but I'm out tomorrow.

However, if you spot a Cokin P154 or P121's for a quid, grab em would you :p

Anyone going just buy all the filters you can for £1, bet you would make it bit of money on here ;)

I had actually thought about that - especially as they had quite a few circular polarises (they were about £3).

Anyway, me and mate are going there tomorrow - keeping my eyes open for a nice little macro lens !!!!

Will report back tomorrow ;)

Cheers.

Anth.

The really good stuff has gone before you get there.

I overheard the staff in the Bolton store, saying they go through the boxes of stuff and pick out the good bit before they put it in the shop, they also get a big staff discount on sale items.

I bet there will be a lot of stuff going on ebay from jessops staff.

if they have a canon 30D for under £400, pick it up for me, especially if it has the 17-85 lens :D
