Hey,
I have a small problem with my 360afd, when i set it to manual i can alter the flash power and zoom but cant alter anything such as ISO and f/stop on the flash. When i click there nothing comes up.

Am i doing something wrong ? i have tried this both on camera and off camera with no connection to camera at all. Flash is not in slave before anyone suggests.

Thanks

That is normal on most flashes in manual mode...

Just adjust power 1/1, 1/2, 1/4 etc for power requirement
and adjust zoom for the spread of light, Wide or narrow...

You are not doing anything wrong. As markw08 says you only need flash power and zoom in manual. F-Stop and ISO are only needed in auto to allow the flash to know when to cut off the flash for correct exposure. In manual you are basically telling the flash to fire at a specific power level and then YOU tell the camera how to record that light level (balancing with ambient if necessary).

With off camera flash / Manual on camera flash you can use an external light meter to get these settings. The ISO would be set on the meter, you fire the flash and the meter shows you what aperture to use. With more experience you will get to know roughly what settings to use and can use the preview to judge minor adjustments required.
