I am thinking about getting one of these to use on my Tamron 70-200 for the odd occasions I need more than 200mm.Anybody used one and got any views on it.

Haven't used one, but personally I wouldn't suggest 3rd party teleconverters - they include optical elements that would probably degrade the image quality considerably more than the original ones

to be honest i wouldn't bother
i had one a while back and never got anything decent from it
not to mention the 2 stops of light you lose through it meaning if your lenses have a smaller aperture than f2.8 it will struggle to autofocus
you would be better off saving the money and going for a longer lens
