Inside the Cupola, NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy, an Expedition 36 flight engineer, uses a 400mm lens on a digital still camera to photograph a target of opportunity on Earth some 250 miles below him and the International Space Station. Cassidy has been aboard the orbital outpost since late March and will continue his stay into September.

Was another guy up on the ISS who produced some pretty amazing work and then came back to earth and starting doing talks etc. Was a thread on it somewhere here...

But yes, what an amazing location!

I wonder how being weightless affects camera shake.

I wonder how he gets the horizon straight?

Commander Chris Hadfield, very interesting chap. His Space Odyssey cover recorded and filmed on the ISS is brilliant.

He was very active posting images and answering questions on twitter. There's an other astronaught tweeting images at the moment but not quite as active. https://BANNED/AstroKarenN

Rather him than me! I mean, I imagine I'd be wowed for a few days, but then knowing you have months to spend up there in tight spaces ...

Only so many pictures of the earth from space you can take really too
