That's a different take on the theme. But a right angle is definitely an angle. So it works for me.

I do like the colour balance of the stone and the water. Nice idea too.

That would fit into so many weeks! nice.

Thanks for the comments guys

Works for the theme :)
I clicked through to Flickr and thus the exif was visible.
I understand using f7/1 to keep everything within acceptable DoF, but was it a concious decission to use 1/500 & ISO 800.
You could have dropped the speed to 1/125 and the ISO to 200 (not that I saw any visible noise - maybe I worry too much about noise as I use APSC).

Thanks for the advice Tim, I haven't used the camera much so still getting used to the settings. I kept my previous one on auto much of the time. I had a busy week and just popped out for a walk to get the photo so I wouldn't get in arrears. I remember having the camera on shutter priority and putting it on 1/500 so the ISO was automatic, not sure why I didn't drop the speed a bit more though, probably too much for my brain to remember lol

That's one of the things I really appreciated when I started doing the 52.
There were plenty of others who would help with pointing out things I hadn't thought of and I'm sure it has helped make me a better photographer.

Yes I agree. It isn't a stunning pic but if it helps me to remember the "trinity" then it would have served it'e purpose.

Job done, and not in arrears ! Fits the theme well and it’s just good to get used to the equipment

I'm thinking that I prefer your train shot John. Your broken shot works well.

Broken hits the spot.
Reminds me, we haven't been down there for a while. Must rectify that soon.

Windows & Doors -
I would have gone with your train shot as the church is blurred.
Nothing wrong with blur on the right occasions, but this is a static shot, so unless you were aiming for an ICM image, it doesn't work for me I'm afraid.
I guess it's down to 1/6th of a second. This is an occasion where either a tripod, or increasing the iso would have been the right way to go (IMO).

Something Broken -
TIcks the boxes. Nicely exposed, and the fact that the subject is a different colour draws your eye to it.

Love those:)

Thanks guys, I hope to get a bit more use of my macro lens this year

Either would have been just good for the theme. A good piece of close up photography.

Two nice ones but you picked the right on IMO
