Nicely horizontal and clearly shows the pre Storm Goretti weather.
Good to get the shot in and post before week 2 :)

Could I ask that you put the theme title and week number on your post in the main thread (and probably here too).
We know what the theme is this week, but later in the year you'll see that not everyone keeps up so it helps everyone know which post is for which theme.

Yep that ticks the box nicely. Welcome to the madness :D

Nice starter shot! welcome to the crazy world of the 52! They come around quickly!

The snow cleared overnight so I went to the coast to take some images for week 2. Happy with three of them, but can't decide which one to enter!

Images taken 12/1/26 Nikon D90 and 35mm f1.8

Three nice shots but te simplicity of No2 and that lovely light stand out! Nicely done :)

Lovely, ether number 1 or 2 for me - can't decide but meets the theme perfectly.
Good set, #2 for me as well, like the close up and the background
Thanks. I initially liked No2 best but wished I'd stopped down a bit more to give more clarity/context to the background, it just feels a bit wishy washy to me.

They are all very good, I think you've selected the right one, as I really like how you have framed the picture. Great detail in all of your pictures.

All excellent compositions and images Jak

They each have elements that would get a vote, I like the splash of colour in #3, and the simplicity of #2.

I'd have struggled to choose too. I like the light, textures and tones in all of them. I do think number one leads the eye around the frame more, so I'd have probably settled on that one too.

Ha ha! I had an idea to have a Windows laptop sat in a door way!

Went to the harbour yesterday, very dull and grim. Took these for the challenge, I prefer the first but the second fits in with the 'framing' technique part. Is the technique list a 'must do'? tbh some of them don't really appeal.

WRT to the techniques (or indeed any of the subjects) this is your TP52. Do it as you see fit.

As it's not a competition, there's no 'requirement' to do everything in any way other than the one that works for you.

The first couple I did all the the themes and all the tech, but last year, I don't think I claimed any of the techniques. Even though, I think over the year I probably did them all, I don't think I did them during the open period. Some will be easier to incorporate than others. For example, I really liked the framed version.
