when all my insurance policies are up for renewal

I've just renewed my car insurance with a different insurer via Quidco, and saved about £100 (incl the quidco cashback/ commission) as my current insurer couldn't match the quote.

Has anyone got any good recommendations for buildings / contents insurance? I'm currently with Norwich Union.

By the end of the week, I'll be poor as with all the insurance renewals and a roof repair today, it's cost me a fortune

The cheapest I ever found for our flat was Zurich Municipal. That was contents only though, (We didnt own), and as I worked for BT I got a 5% discount, but it was the cheapest quote I ever found.

Would never want to be insured with Zurich ever again - even if it was free!!! Made a claim last year after the roof was damaged in a bad storm (which led to water getting in & damaging the landing ceiling). Anyone would think that they were paying the £500 repair out of their own pockets. They even phoned one of the guys who gave us a repair quote and asked if he could do a discount It took them about 6 months to sort out the claim and eventually pay out. That's only the 2nd time in 10 years I've ever claimed anything. Needless to say, I cancelled my policy with them!
