Yes
Just spent a couple of hours in watching the biggest load of tripe in the world! You got it....

.... The Eurovision Song Contest :cuckoo:

So who else had to endure it, or watched it of their own free will?

Al

who won?

the UK entry would have been good (that's 'Eurovision good') some 15 years ago. But the world has moved on a bit since then.

The Irish entry was truely terrible. They have totally lost the plot.

The Eurovision is something I'd never watch even if you paid me!

The Irish entry was truely terrible. They have totally lost the plot.

There's method in their madness - they won it in 1992, 1993 and 1994, and it was such a headache for them to host it in 93 and 94, not to mention costly, that they NEVER want to win it again! And there really was no chance of that with this entry

Thinking about that though, surely it would just be easier not to enter

Had it on in the background whilst reading. Not a smidgeon of political voting to be seen this year

I wanted the Ukraine to win with that somewhat mad techno tune

Shame that some of the entrants couldn't actually sing! (I'm thinking of Ireland followed by us)

KIM, I've fixed your link for you :)

I had it on in the background. I planned to watch it but an old friend came round. Some of the entries were just laughable.

Sadly I thought we were in with a chance, it was a major cheese overload, which I thought would work...lol
Missed the first 10 entries though.

It's comedy from start to finnish

Reasons why I love it:
1. The legend that is Mr Wogan
2. Every song has at least one key change
3. It has the most blatant in-voting ever seen on TV (thanks Malta!)
4. We'll always qualify because we're one of the main contributors financially
5. No-one really cares if we come last

I think we should aim to come last (preferably with nil points) each year, just to be different.:woot:

And we can always depend on Ireland and Malta to vote for us (usually), Jut a shame no one els likes us...

I think for a change we should enter...then on the night, just stand on stage, in silence for 3 minutes, holding up a sign, saying something inane and daft :D

It was appauling yet hillarious!!

I thought Maldova should have wone - I did check with the Mrs that she was an actual female before commenting further! ;)

Its soooo bias its funny.. but aye old tez lad makes it worthwhile :)

I think it's gone a bit too serious really. Isn't the point of Eurovision to enter some crappy cheesy song that gets stuck in your head?
Serbia was horrendous.
Ukraine was hilarious!

Last time I took any notice was Sandie Shaw, Puppet on a String, showing my age again!
