I like this Bachs and the title does say it all.
Cold monochrome outside.
Warm colours inside.

I would be tempted to use the burn tool, set to highlights, to tone down the stonework.
Vignetting might be slightly on the heavy for me. :Ponders:
But these are small points.

I still like it everytime I go back to it.

Has anyone else noticed that a thumbnail is a good indication as to wether a shot has worked or not?

It strips out the distracting detail and you can immediately see the composition and contrast range.
 
If I am unsure on a picture, do I like it or not? then I usually set it as my desktop background for a few days. If I still like it after that it passes the test, you would be amazed at how many fail though ;)
 
It has a real 'feel-good' quality about it. I would be proud to even think of something like that, let alone execute it to that level. I imagine it would look amazing as a desktop. It would also look good printed out...

No, not really......:embarasse

I tend to find that my shots look great as thumbnails, but when opened up full screen it shows just my lack of talent.

I tried that as per your recommendation ages ago but had to stop, as I was getting quite disheartened.....None of my shots were making it through.....:laugh1:
