It's been reported the Itailans were paying the Taliban not to kill them

I was listening to Radio 2 early this morning, they reported that the Italians have been bribing the Taliban not to kill them, when the french took over that sector they failed to tell them about their little secret which got 10 french soldiers killed.

It was only reported once by the BBC very early then dropped, if it is true it's outrageous they were paying them as the money was probably spent on explosives to kill our soldiers

Now-now: that was just clumsiness...it happens...

You might be surprised to know that apart from some heavy sighs and head-shaking, no-one here really blames those pilots...it's usually the fault of the FAC giving the wrong grid to the pilot or the ground-call-signs failing to identify themselves or just plain bad luck.
