Hi to all, for various reasons its been a while since i posted on TP or even viewed it. Nice to see a lot of familiar names, and some new to me names as well.
Is it still, talk equipment =fights, talk film= the gentlemen ?

Welcome back Niko, I'm not sure how long you've been away but generally serious controversy is restricted to 'hot topics' and anyone looking for a fight elsewhere is encouraged to try a different forum.

I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Thank you its been a few years now. I was just being tongue in check, as i remember a few tempers raised in equipment section.
I will certainly hope to join in more activly again soon. At the moment just looking forward to re-learning (i am way out of practice) and looking at some of the other members amazing work.

Welcome... back...

I think things have got better.

I remember film v digital debates and then DSLR v Mirrorless but these days people seem to have settled down a bit but OVF v EVF still seems to be a thing for some people. I also remember a time when Canon v Nikon got everyone going and even today Sony is viewed by some as an upstart company which should leave cameras and lenses to Canikon and stick to making games consoles. That reminds me of another forum on which Nikon users used to refer to Canon as a photocopier company :D

Colour science has been a thing too and there's also menus, people seem to get worked up over Sony menu complexity.

Thank you mate, the progress in cameras is increadable really, the differance in glass as well. Very lucky time to live in.

Hi nik, welcome back, have fun here (y)
