It's been a blast!

To say I post infrequently would be an understatement.

For the past nine or ten years I've indulged in my passion, shooting sports at various levels in my spare time. I've had great experiences in the Premier League but best of all were my four seasons as club photographer at Barnet FC, covering relegation from and promotion back to the Football League, as well as Edgar Davids' unbelievable stint as player/manager.

I have other work priorities now and would also like my weekends back - I'm sure that sentiment is not lost on anyone!

So…I'm considering selling my entire collection of professional Nikon equipment and other accessories. I'll post them in the classifieds if I do but maybe this isn't the place for everything.

For the record I have a mint 400mm 2.8 VR, D3s, D3, 70-200mm 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8 and many other zoom and prime lenses (most of which are in perfect condition) plus bags, cases, tripods - you name it! It's a bit daunting which is why I'm putting feelers out and maybe someone would like to upgrade all their gear at once! Part of me is still hoping I'm talked out of this though

I'll document my Barnet experience one day as I had some great times, especially the final two seasons at Underhill. Some of my favourite images are here:

Ben, if you're going to use the classifieds to dispose of your kit, may I suggest you make a few more posts on the general forum, as you're dangerously close to the point where your classifieds access will be automatically withdrawn - if they haven't already been... (you need to maintain at least 50% of your posts in the non-classifieds area, and currently, you're on 55 posts, and 28 of them are in classifieds...)

Thanks, I'm aware but didn't know the details of that rule and didn't want to 'manipulate' the system. I prefer to sell to TP members if possible which is why I posted this first.

Hopefully my posts here will help and maybe I'll post my equipment in a single thread when I do list it.

I'd far sooner give you a "heads up" like this, rather than sit back and wait for the "i've just posted an advert in the classifieds, and now I've been locked out"... My advice, make a half a dozen posts somewhere as a minimum before starting a thread, as there's bound to be a bit of to-and-fro in the for sale thread (as everything up to exchanging bank details and addresses needs to be kept on the forum rather than in private messages)
