Hi All

After a total frustrating Saturday I have to admit there is a really large element of luck involved in photography!

It started with a nice walk buy the river, noticed a Kestrel or similar flying very low, thought this would make a nice shot if only I had the right lens fitted, by the time I had changed lenses the bird had flown! Just as I turned around 5 ducks all had a formation landing on the river! Doh! Decided to have a drive around Shropshire looking for inspiration, found a really nice vantage point for future shots, talk a couple of tester pictures and got back in to the car, at which point a world war II plane goes flying across! At this point I cannot believe my luck so head home through the country roads, on the way back what should come walking down the road but a deer, I slowly stopped the car and reached for the camera as the young deer is joined by Mother deer, with camera leaving the camera bag the deers both jump off the road in to the forest and away.............

To coin the phrase, if I didn't have bad luck I would not have any luck at all!

I hope I am not the only one who this has happened to.

Frustratedly Stu.

In wildlife photography unless you dedicate yourself to using a hide or learn to stalk your subject then you will need a very large dose of good luck to get pictures.
