Talk about a slow news day, this was in my local feed this morning,
The out pourings of grief, seriously?
I was curious, as a new one seems to open almost every month here,
I googled it, there are 20 McD's in Buckinghamshire most of which are in MK,
And 1 guy owns 7 of the franchises, here.

It looks like someone in the media dept had too much time on their hands.

On multiple branches in the same town.

In my computer days I used to go to a big hight street name and they opened up a new branch almost opposite, just a few yards offset so almost literally just over the pedestrianised "road." I asked if this had just divided sales between the two branches and the reply I got was that it doubled sales. That was back before the high streets started crumbling though.

Meh, I fell out with Maccy D's years ago, I used to go in one of the Sheffield branches for lunch from work years ago, I only had an hour to go across, get served, eat and get back to work, and me being a fussy eater, I'd always ask for "Cheeseburger, small chips, NO Salad or gherkins", which is fine but if you ask for a special order, for some reason it takes them 3 times as long to serve you, annoying when I'm clock watching anyway to get back.

My other half prefers her burger without cheese. I’m happy it takes longer to serve as it’s an indication that it’s being freshly prepared - worth waiting a few extra minutes for I think.

I wouldn't eat anything from McDonald's if it was free. Yuk! :runaway:

I like my food to have taste and a little nutritional content is favourable too.

They keep trying to revive my local high street, this must be the 4th time now.
If only they realised that putting double yellow lines everywhere is not helping :(

I can remember when the burgers didn't taste like the box they came in.
And the milkshakes needed a spoon ...
Although I've not eaten one in years, not since I got food poisoning from one.
I can't 100% prove it, but it was the only thing I'd eaten that day, in only a few short hours and I was extremely ill..

My only calls into McDonald’s were during morning trips and I’d have a Philadelphia bagel and coffee…….
Ah well - my final excuse for not avoiding them completely has just disappeared…….

Not when you're on lunch and in a rush it's not.

The milkshakes still need a spoon... I am addicted to their chocolate thick shakes though.

I quite liked their Big Breakfast, handy sometimes when on a journey or a quick bite before work.
Stopped that a while back I believe, probably because it was too good value.

I'm surprised nobody has blamed the vegans yet.

We all know about McPlant, right?
I'm all in favour of plant based food.
Cows and sheep eat grass and other plants.
Therefore they are plant based :)

I quite liked their Big Breakfast,
I used to stop for breakfast wrap, early mornings, while working, but as above not for years.

It seems the locals are now all recommending Tim Hortons for breakfast wraps and the like.
I'd never heard of it but google truly had my boggle minding

How can it be called chicken whilst being meatless, trade description problem there, just call it what it is.

Exactly my point, I wonder if it "tastes like chicken" ?

:D

I used to like their vegi burger, chips and ice cream but I can't remember the last time I went, probably 12-15 years now.

We all know about McPlant, right?

Is that Rabbie McPlant who used to sing with Led McZeppelin?

"We" taste like pork apparently :D

Hence "Longpig".

Haven't been into Muck Donalds for anything other than a McDump/Pee for many years. On the rare occasions where the McKarzi has been needed, I've had a coffee but nothing to eat. They always left me hungry and dyspeptic!
