It is old and manual focus, heavy and unwieldy, can`t wait to try it out......:)

You may wonder why?

Well the new ones are 6.5 grand.............I wanted to try one and see if I could gel with it, I do a lot of walking in woods , along rivers and up hills to do my photography. I could hire one for 250 per fortnight, which seemed a bit like dead money to me. So I picked this up for a reasonable amount, if I don`t get on with it then I can always sell it.

Anyone know why my series 2 ,1.7 tc won`t fit?

That looks bl**dy heavy!

Is that a lens or a weapon? :D

Wow, that could well be fantastic. There is every chance that it's totally the other way around inside and just full of fabulous pristine glass just waiting to make eye popping images for you.:thumbs:

My we are a big boy!!!!!!

With camera attached.

Together they weigh 6 kgs, I can see this being a short affair.

Weapon of mass satisfaction?

Blimey you could sit under that to shelter from the rain.

together they weight 6KG ? ;) mine weighs that on its own :D

This the special, read OLD, lightweight version.......:D

I`ll try and get out tomorrow with it.

Question for you all, why will my 1.7 TC version2 not fit.........

Any clues gratefully received, as I don`t have one.

That is some impressive if mahoosive bit of kit ... ... good luck with it ... :D

:p

Thanks for that Joe, appreciate it.......

Just gotta find one now.......:bonk:

Bloody hell Ade!
That could double treble as a walking stick, seat or club :D
Have fun

LOL. Strap it across your shoulders and do plenty of full squats before you try taking it out. :D

Seriously, I bet that optically it's great. I wouldn't worry about the TC's - use it as is - 600mm is a good reach on a crop sensor, and without IS you'll need to shoot at f4 most of the time with our weather to keep the shutter speed reasonable.

Looks great! :D

Remember to get the launch codes before you try to use it
