Hi all

I've read that I should avoid using the ISO Equivalent of 100 on my Nikon D300 and use ISO 200 instead as this will have clearly better results, just wondering if anyone else has any knowledge of this.

Thanks

Dan

Shooting ISO100 is like shooting ISO200 with +1EV on the D300 (and also D3 and D700)

In other words you lose one stop of dynamic range when you shoot at ISO100, as the sensor has a base ISO of 200 (actually the base ISO is closer to ISO160 but thats complicating things..!)

Right I think that I see what you mean. I think that i'll keep shooting at ISO200 the baseline (where appropriate) and will keep that one stop of dynamic range!

If you want slightly cleaner images, without losing to much in the DR department try shooting at Lo3
