im in on e of my now rare photo taking moods, and my battery then dies...... grrrr lol
 
Or you take yourselves out, you are miles away from your home, you spot a nice photography opportunity, you turn the camera on, you even remembered to take the lens cap off . . .

. . . only to get greeted by a "No SD card inserted" message on the screen. Aaaaaargh.
Yes, I've done it a few times, and I'm pretty sure that we all have.

i got bout 5 cards and two batteries, i been out with 4 full cards and only one empty, luckily managed to get by deleting some dodgy pics while out

I did one better than not having a card in, I bought a Fuji S1 pro as a cheap body to keep in my van, 6am in the late summer I was driving past a village as the sun came up, took about 20 shots, mist in the fields, red sky just before sunrise behind a cottage, what I didn't realise was that preview on the S1 means just that, you have to opt to write the file to the card so when I got home I hadn't got a single picture:bang:
