Do you think that they will be an additional charge from customs to pay too... Making it not so cheap, any idea what the custom charges could be?

What if it's already imported? And just sat on the shelf so to speak...

I bought my 5D2 and 24-105 f4 L from Hdew cameras last november and the price was £2,025, which was at least £230 cheaper than I could find anywhere local. There was no customs charges to pay, the only extra was P&P which was about £10. It was ordered on a monday night and I received it on the friday morning. Fantastic service, fantastic price and fantastic equipment. I might have to look into one of those lenses myself in the very near future.

Don't HDEW delivery by Royal Mail from the UK? When I talked to them they could deliver next day so there's no way is was coming from abroad. Its not official UK stock so the manufacturer won't warrant it but they provide their own guarantee.

I've just bought a 50mm 1.8 from them, delivery time was excellent as was communication.

that dosn,t mean its original uk stock, just that they have a distribution centre in the uk. they sell there own warranties so if you have a problem it will probably come back and bite you in the arse. sorry just my opinion.

When I said "It's not official UK stock so the manufacturer won't warrant it..." I think I was making it clear that it isn't original uk stock.
 
I bought my 7D from them with 3yr warranty quite a while back, cheaper, great service,
