I got my MAC code from Nildram on 31st October 2006 and migrated to ZEN in a faultless move.. :)

UNTIL today when I just found out that Nildram have still been taking £25.99 a month from my account ever since.. :bang:

I know you are all saying "why has it taken you so long to realize".

Because my wife deals with all the bank statements and only just today asked why are you paying 2 lots of ISPs for ADSL..

Yeah I know, I am an idiot..:geek:

No accounts personnel about until Monday morning so it will have to wait until I ring them and ask "WHY"..:bat:

Anyone else had any similar experiences like this.

Also will they pay back all the money they have taken although my account was ceased with them last October..:help:

Sounds like they owe you around £77.97 BB ...

Don't know much about your situation but if you have terminated your contract and they have still been taking dosh you must get it back imo ... no question unless it is more complicated ...

Good luck m8 ... :D

:p

This kind of thing seems to happen with....ermmm suspicious regularity when you cancel one contract to take out another - gas, electric, telephone. S'funny how they seem to 'forget' or make an 'administration error' :suspect: :suspect: :suspect:
I wonder how many thimes they get away with this kind of thing. IMO they should pay you back the interest aswell (yeah I'm a tight Yorkshireman :D )

You've got grounds for a snotty, but polite rant letter.
They owe you. Providing that its clear when you cut with them ( hope you have a letter with the date)

I'm with Pipex and nothing they do surprises me any more, i won't be with them much longer.

Fixed ;) These companies are sharks, all of them, no exceptions, we spend all our time fixing this sort of problem for customers  :bang:

Buster

Had the vey same problem when I moved from Force 9 - Got my MAC code passed it on to new ISP, account and connection transfered over but old ISP kept charging me as they said the MAC code haden't been used:thinking: :suspect:

In the end after a few heated e-mails I suggested they went and checked with BT wholesale to update their (F9's) system details.

That happened in the first 6 weeks though, caught it early.

i know a guy who was paying BT for a 2nd phone line he cancelled 7 years earlier!!!!

He got the lot back after a few weeks of phone calls.

Go get em buster :D

Are Pipex no good now then Jason ???
They are doing a good phone and BB deal the the mo and I'm thinking about joining them, (well its Homecall Pipex now cos Homecall have joined them).

I moved from BT to Talk Talk and had exactly the same. After several calls to 'BT India' (I'm not being racist, but I hate it, I can hardly understand a word their saying :( ), I have finally had a £120 rebate from BT.

It's a long story, i've been with them for years without any problems but since the move they have been a nightmare. Not taking money by direct debit for 6 months after we moved and then taking £180 for the 6 months we owed after saying they were going to bill us and we could pay by cheque because there was problems with the direct debit.

Then taking £180 for the following 3 months instead of the £30 they should have taken. After talking to our bank they told us that Pipex had set up 6 direct debits, one for £180 and five for the £30 per month for broadband. I' cancelled all of them last month and i am still trying to cancel my broadband with them.

They didn't even notice i had cancelled the direct debits.

Sounds like their admin dept' is useless. Whats the actual service like - reliability, speed etc ?

Thanks

Thed broadband itself was fine, no problem but i'm a sucker for customer service. If someone gives me bad customer service then i'm a customer no more.

They were not going to refund unless i sent all of my bank statements in that covered the period that the money was taken out.

There was no way i was ever going to send my bank statements in. After talking to my bank they reembursed me the money and claimed from Pipex.

Its funny. I moved house in 2003. At the time Zen didn't have a 'home move' option, so I had to cancel, then set it up again at my new address and pay another £50 setup fee.

They took double payments for two months. I called them after the first time and they said they'd refund it, but then it happened again. I eventually got my money back, although it should never have been taken in the first place.

They were also taking payment by debit card, so it wasn't like I could cancel a direct debit to stop it, because there wasn't one!

You can't get the staff lol

Pipex/Nildram are the same now and I can confirm they will be your worst nightmare come true..:bang:

You think accounts are bad, Just wait until you need CS mate, Be prepared to sit on the phone and wait anything up to an hour for anyone to answer the call, Then be told you have rung the wrong department (which I hadnt) then wait another hour for the same again...:cuckoo: Never again..

Zen may have some faults but I havent found them yet, less than 2 rings of the phone and a person (yes a person) will talk to you in seconds. Not a bloody automated answer machine.:shake:

Back on topic thanks for the replies guy's, I will be (trying) to contact Nildram on Monday to sort this mess out.:bat:
