is this flash any good

At that price put it to a named brand, it may be very good but how do you know ?

im a little confused with the

Sigma EF-530 DG ST Flashgun - for Nikon NA (iTTL)
that you linked

simply because the name (for nolon na(ittl) woudl indicate it indeed has i-ttl

but the description says TTL which is different (i have a flash with ttl but it doesent work as I-ttl on my nikon d70 - so there is no use buying that over an old one off ebay)

also, it doesent "appear" to have swivel,

does any body have one, and can enlighten me please

slapo, does the 500 super do I-ttl ?

I'm not quite sure what i-ttl actually does or how it differs from just ttl (through the lens, yes, I know what that means), but with my D50 set to ttl the Sigma flash I have meters automatically and obeys exposure compensation settings.
The 530 Sigma flashes are the successors of the 500 series Sigma flashes.
