I have a Nikon D50, I've been pretty happy with it but I've needed and external flash... I had thought about robbing the Minolta Auto 132X flash off of my old Minolta XG1. I took a few pictures with it and it worked great... Problem being I had a 35mm photographer tell me to be careful becasue the Minolta Auto 132X might fry the Electronics in my Nikon D50. Is this Minolta Auto 132X Flash compatible with my Nikon D50?
 
According to Botzilla this unit has a 2.2v trigger voltage, so it should be O/K. but will only work as a manual flash I would think.
 
wont get ttl with it ,,,
 
Does the flashgun have a standard type hotshoe fitting or is it the Minolta exclusive one? Is there an adaptor to convert it? Might be easier to use the PC cord (if there is one) with a hotshoe adaptor.
