Is this a useful product for broadband instead of wireless?

I may be picking you up wrong here but are you asking if this will increase your speed?
If you are then the answer is no.
If on the other hand you are looking for a Tidy wireless solution then they do look to be a nice idea.
The speeds they support are way above anything you can get in the UK so they should handle data transfer error free.

Just read the downside. You will need 2 Units and they are excluding Vat so its a £100.
 
Craig, no I realise it won't affect the speed, but at the moment my Mac book is at the limit of it's range on my wireless router, and the signal annoyingly has a habit of dropping out, I wondered if anyone had used what looks on the face of it a good (if not quite expensive) solution.
Would also use it in the house with my slingbox.

I just hadn't heard of them before!!
 
I saw these in PC world a few weeks ago, and they do look impressive, worth checking out pc world and maplin as you may find them a little cheeper.

I've been using these for about 18 months now and they are brilliant. They are the simplest networking product to use - ever! Just plug one into your router or switch and one into each computer that requires access and the job is done.

any recommendation as to which one to get? what do you use?
 
I think it's more like 24/26 months since I bought. I got the 85 Mbps model.

kfridge, thanks for the heads up on that one, and it does look interesting, but the drawback for me is I can't have a directional antenna as it also has to fire in the opposite direction and the loss of sig strength would be too great.

Think I'll have a go at the 200mbps jobs, althought they are expensive, a bit of furure proofing never went wrong.

Will report on their performance!!
