Yes
What do you think?

I have a beautiful Horsman LX with all the lenses and associated kit in fantastic, purpose built boxes. It was well (but very carefully) used for about 10 years (paid for itself 100 times over) but I haven't touched it for yonks.

Is it worth trying to sell it or is the market for such kit a gonna?

Total lack of response - I'll take that as a no then! :-)

Actually no

There is still lots of people using LF cameras in the Fine Art circles and new machines are being made by people like Toyo, Wiseman, Shen Hao etc.

I have been looking round ebay for a while and thinking of getting a 5x4 system but I do not think I have the technical skill to do it justice.

If your after selling then check ebay out and there are some shops out there that will take LF gear in part ex.

eBay or there must be some large format forums out there with folk who might be looking for good gear.

What have you got and what were you thinking you'd want for it? You never know, there may be a few folks here that could be tempted...... like me. :D

There is still a market for that type of camera. Try Robert White ( robertwhite.co.uk) they still sell 4 x 5 and other specialist cameras. He may be interested.

I get it all out and take some pics of it and put a list up here. And I'll PM you're good self when I do.

I'd be interested as well if/when you put it on the For Sale boards

I bought a Horseman LX-C last year, off ebay and with some stiff competition, so yes there is a market. Beautiful just to look at. Only the one lens - a 150 - and a while ago I was looking for something wider like a 90, but all a bit too pricey. I got a Fuji quickloader too. As yet I haven't tried it. It's getting near the top of the list of things to do.

Divorce is nothing to fear and given the statistical chance of it occurring anyway, it would be a shame to be left with a regret for not buying a LF camera. ;);)
