Is there an equivalent of Apple's app 'Photos' on Windows 10?

Edit My Images
Yes
I'm about to make the transition from Mac to Windows after 30+ years. I've ordered all of the components for a custom PC and while they travels across county toward me, I figured I'd get back to worrying about what I do after they get here.

A big concern is the vast number of photos on my current dyeing iMac and the hundreds I upload weekly, if not daily. -- Lots of Nature photos shot in Burst mode. :)

I am a big fan on how the Mac auto imports and sorts from the SD card. Its also easy to pick favorites and send RAW images to Photoshop. I'm hoping to do something similar in Windows.

How do you go about this?

Thanks, emcee2

It's not how I work but it sounds like adding Lightroom to your PS subscription is probably the way to go.

I would have said fortunately not, but you obviously find it useful.

Windows can be set to automatically import images when plugging in a card or camera. Lightroom as suggested will give better editing options than photos. For simple fast editing and resizing you could try irfanview. Windows has a photo app, and you could check that out.

I don't need additional editing, but I will need originatioonal tools. I'll look into Lightroom, thanks.

I'm curious how others solve their storage, organization and workflow needs in Windows. I'm open to new ways of working and this is a good time to transition since I will have to set up everything from scratch on my new PC (should have it up and running in less then a week).

Glad to hear Windows can auto import and sort. I f I go with my old workflow, it will be handy.

Lightroom is excellent for digital assets management.

Not an answer to your question.....but if you're coming from a Mac, I'd highly recommend you install QuickLook

Press the space bar to preview any file. Just like OS X :)

Back on topic - personally I use Lightroom but you may find this useful if you just want to view and select

Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond. Seems I need to look into Lightroom when I get a chance.

As of now, my Mac and littoral desk are in compleat disarray. I've begun clearing offf the desk, breaking down the macs, peripherals, figuring out how to get the bookshelf and desk to work together in a tiny space. Blah, blah, blah...

Lots of moving files and hardware around. Getting really for the big build this weekend. (if the final 2 components of my new build arrive)

This one was already on my list, was recommended elsewhere.

I don't want to one of those guys always complaining that Windows doesn't work like a Mac.

Sure there are a few this features I hope to duplicate. But I also just want to see what's its like without Mac-afing it.

What little I've seen of Windows 11 makes me happy. I think I'm going to keep things pretty basic until its release.
