I want to buy a Canon 50mm f1.4 and I'm visiting Vegas in a couple of weeks

Does anyone know best place to shop & get good price?

thanks

I was there in Aug /Sept but the exchange rate wasn't that great so decided to wait. There are a few shops but I don't know how good they are.

anything on the strip will be expensive very expensive if you have a car travel

not sure but here are a few

try circuitcity this is like a currys or comet style store not sure on prices but there shoudl be a few around

here is another

that is near the strip might be worth poping in

also if you dare try some of the pawn shops there is plenty there and you may just pick up a good deal on camera gear never tried when over there but worht ago

i went in a camera shop at the designer outlet that was not very good and another shop on the strip that had plenty of lenses etc but the prices were not very competitive tbh
i think that one was by m&m world

in September i went to one in the outlet centre which is a mile or two to the south of the strip... there was a camera store in there which was decent enough, though I didn't think prices were very competitive, certainly no more expensive than buying in the UK, but not really that much cheaper.

it's worth visiting that outlet centre either way, some great bargains to be had! got 2 pairs of adidas originals and some socks for $50

edit - it's a Ritz camera outlet here: http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=61

All have been mentioned above that I can think about, frys was ok but very much the lower end of the market as were most of the large chains I visited like best buy 55-250, 70-300's no L lenses. On strip prices are not competative and they are very un helpfull as nothing has a price on it so you need to ask prices for anything and the chances of stock are slim they have whats on the shelf.

The ritz outlet was pretty much empty with 1 or 2 lenses on the shelves. lots of things like cases and bags but not many lenses. and prices were not that great they had a 70-200 2.8 non IS and wanted $1400 for it when i went.
