Beginner is there a correct way to remove the shoulder strap ?

is there a way to remove the shoulder strap ?


what i really don't like is that aluminium ring there that give me the impression that could scratch the body !


i would like to replace it with something more modern and soft...but i can't find a way to remove that metal ring from there !

If the original (usually triangular, these days) strap rings are present, I'd leave them in place. I even leave the original strap on most cameras because it can be used either as a neck strap or a wrist strap...



Other opinions are, of course, available.

so easy to change from neck strap (same make) to wrist strap.

It might have helped to state the camera make and model in your question.

But as we now know it’s a Bronica ETRSi, then I have 2 thoughts, an online search with the camera model will get you instructions. search

But the other one is more pertinent. That camera is c40 years old and the strap hasn’t damaged the body so far! It’s difficult to imagine your use is going to make a difference. I’m fairly sure you’ve got some genuine problems to find a solution for, this camera strap isn’t one.
