Yes
I'm in the market for a macro lens for my D750.... I was going to buy the newest version of the Tamron 90mm macro lens @£599 but a mate pointed out to me that you can get a sigma 105mm 2.8 OS HSM
£299 new..... Both of these lenses get good reviews.... the Tamron is probably the better lens but it's it worth £300 more?

In a word, no. The Sigma 105 is an excellent lens and at £299 it's an amazing bargain.

Cheers guy's.... The sigma sells for £359 but there's a promotion on at the moment with £60 off

I've just ordered a sigma 105. I'd be debating a canon 100mm or this and in the end couldn't justify the extra money.
The offer was the closer for me as a good second hand copy would be nearly just as much without the 3 year warranty.
It's one more lens from my ideal setup of 24-70mm , 50mm, 80mm, 100mm and 70-200mm. I'm just missing the 70-200 now. I was hoping to save for the sigma 2.8 OS , but it looks like it has been replaced with the sport version now. So for the price I may as well look at a used Canon 2.8 mkii.
