Hi all.. I'm hoping to start experimenting with flash and have (ish) settled on getting a nissan di866... however.. im a bit confused as some companies are selling a 'MKII' version at the exact same price as other companies are selling a version just listed as 'di866'... ie version I.. the nissin website still says the MK2 is 'coming soon'.....

can anyone clarify whether the mk 2 is out ?? it would also be usefull to know if there are any noticeable differences between the two models.. :S lol!

Where have you seen it, yes website says they aren't yet but quite a few are offering them. Just ask them before buying ask whatt type of foot they have.
It should be metal.
 
I bought a Di866 from warehouse express last week £185, a mk 2 was delivered ;)
 
Thanks for the replies guys! Warehouse expresss you say.. I haven't used them before but shall check them out! Did the one you receive have the metal attachment?

If you don't receive a Mk2 you're well within your rights to return under distance selling regulations so you've nothing to lose for trying.
 
No metal attachment, are we talking about the stand? If so it's plastic with a metal screw Thingy on the underside
 
if you check the website they state a new metal foot plate so for a quick reference check the foot. But as others have said distance selling act means if they send something that it is not just send it back.

Time to spend a few quid, get a UK supplier as the import tax pushes them to equal or above the UK price. You could find a cheap supplier and offer them a price.
