Is my printer dead?

I have an Epson R3000, last week I have an error on the Light Vivid magenta ink, after which all my prints now have a very heavy magenta cast making the prints unusable, i have tried printing from 3 pc’s so o don't think its a pc problem.

I managed to find some software giving me a print off report of the printer stats and one of the lines said:

Last print fatal error code 1 0xC3 ink device error. Ink cartridge failure, holder board assy failure (CSIC terminal failure/CR contact module failure), main board failure.

Anyone have any thoughts?

It may be repairable but could be costly. It might be worth finding your local Epson Service Centre and giving them a call, and asking for a quote or see if they do fixed price repairs. I took my R3000 into an Epson service centre a couple of weeks ago for a minor problem, which was fixed, but they did say that if it had been something that needed replacing it could have been anything up to £300 or more (mine just needed dismantling and cleaning so was only £20).
