Is Lossiemouth worth a visit?

Yes
I'm going to be working in Aberdeen for a few days next month... was thinking of taking a day before I come home to go to Lossiemouth.
It's still 70 miles from where I'll be staying, so I wondered if it's likely to be worth it? I can get to Lakenheath quite easily from home, so is that likely to be a better bet?

It's fantastic as long as there is activity. I have found them very good at replying to queries on Thier Facebook page . Anytime I visit Scotland I ask them what activity is to be like on certain dates and they always reply with a helpful answer

It might or might not be better than Lakenheath, but it would be different. And if you are into a bit of scenery, the miles of sandy beaches are glorious.
I was born in a house on the edge of the airfield (Drainie Road) as my dad was based there at the start of the '50s.
Back then there was a grass-covered hangar which we were allowed to toboggan down in winter when it was covered in snow. Great fun!
