Is it worth upgrading to canon 70d from 700d?

Hi there,

I am canon 700d user.. I only use camera for videography, like Youtube videos. Indoors and outdoors.. Like any sort of videos for Youtube, it can be skit or anything..

So, I am looking for an upgrade for my 700d.. I want a better video quality camera, but within the price of 70d.. So, is video quality of 70d is better than 700d?

Let me know if 70d will give me a significant increase in video quality over 700d or any better options?

No it wont and isnt much better for video. What is wrong with the 700D for the videos you want to make? Is it the controls, the focus adjustments, noise when using the lens ... .?

I was just hoping, if I could get a bit sharper video...

Or shall i upgrade my lens only?
I m thinking to get a 17-70mm f2.8, hows that?

A lens upgrade would probably suit you better. Even a cheap fixed focal length lens will outperform (for sharpness) a zoom lens. I do not know the 17-70/2.8 lens, but what do the reviews about it say?

A couple of STM prime lenses at your favoured focal lengths would be the better buy. Presuming you don't zoom whilst shooting.

The video quality of the 700D will be very similar to the 70D. both cameras are capable of producing excellent video quality.
