Is it THAT time yet...

there's nothing like derailing a thread with pathetic banter aimed at attacking a particular member .. i remember a time when that sort of s*** was against the rules , but seems these days its not just allowed but actively encouraged by the mod team.

Still I suppose if it keeps a bunch of pathetic trolls occupied and out of worthwhile threads its serving a useful purpose

Did someone call ?
Its amazing how you do that, one mention of a Moose and there it is,
Anyone would think that you check peoples profiles to see if they have mentioned your name ;)
(due to the ignore list the bottom half of this thread makes very little sense, ............. )
Just a friendly heads up on that,
continually mentioning / suggesting that certain people are on your ignore is actually a rule infraction :)

oh and chris , this moose shoots back ;)
Rather like a Panda, that eats shoots and leaves I take it?
:p

Problem with ignore is you can no longer see what folks are saying, so I think that's never gonna happen.....Just sayin'. :angelic:

But just think of the fun to be had saying things people say they can't see ;)

Who needs to wait for christmas, hell we can have more fun with halloween

But also just remember all the years of jokes / p*** takes, about hobbit / snakes / pink snakes / locations where apparently I hang out in MK.
etc etc.
All in the name of banter.

You were quite rightly asked to quit the hobbit jokes, yes we all thought that they were mildy amusing for the first few times,
BUT they then started to get rather personal and a even a little suggestive, some were either edited or deleted.

Don't forget that Yvonne's other half is also a member.
How do you think he felt?
From my point of view however, I can take it, as well as dish it out.
And expect the recipient to accept it for what it is.

I agree with what Chris has said. There was a long time when we kept asking for the jokes to stop and the response we got was it's just banter. Maybe if there weren't so many comments constantly going on about how much the ladies love you then you might not get picked on. You must realise that is the most annoying thing for a male to say.

Let's get this thread back on track about heating before my fever goes sky high again.

Our heating is not going on until November. With last year's price rises we can't afford to waste heat when a couple of jumpers, thermals, two pairs of gloves, a ski mask, a blanket, hot water bottle etc will do  But seriously, we have a detached 3 storey house which seems to keep the heat ok, I'm hoping to keep it off til November but the way the weather has been today, not too sure!

Let's not forget the constant hardon regarding people's employment, or their education; or thinking that providing a link to information (or at least a credit) posted in a thread equates to the same thing as a cut and paste job.

Totally agree. Unless the weather takes a serious dip to the Antarctic, until November it's a sweater.

Edit.....ah pish...bit of rain's not going to kill ya

Well I can certainly remember what 3 years ago was it?
working outside in -12o trying to fly a bird when when my hands were so cold I
couldn't hold the lure.

Working in an office makes you lot soft :p

*sigh*

PM incoming kids.....

Well we've had the heating on for 3-4 days now on the timer, just to take the chill out of the air in the house as it's been a little chilly of late, and I see no reason on being cold, if cold I'll turn the heating on no matter the time of year :)

It certainly didn't affect me being stuck inside most of this year, only good thing was I missed the
worst of the rain in the early part
I have night storage heaters here, so have one on low in the hall, it does help dry out wet coats/shoes when I
get wet at work, not found it that expensive to run even in the cold winter a couple of years ago when I first moved in.
My heating plus hot water, cooking light etc is only £38 a month all electric

I have lost my fight against the cold with the recent wet weather and my longies are now on............Needed to get to the 14th oct to beat the my last year record...but no:rolleyes:

Heating came on thismorning too....set at 15 dc so must of been a tad lower only came on for 30mins or so off now though and editing in mfleece pair of 24's slowly bringing up the small room temp nice!

VAT on heating fuel is STUPID

thing to do with heating fuel is to buy it in the summer when no ones using it - when we filled our oil tank in july we got sub 40p/litre (course it helps that i live on a farm and the landlord gets a bulk rate for filling four or five tanks in one hit.)

Bernie is on all year as he does our hot water and cooking as well as heating, but I have succumbed to leaving him on four rather than two for longer in the evenings - I havent so far had to light the log burner , but i can see that on the horizon
