Yes
This could well be a noob question but I'd like to know.

My slowest shutter speed is 1 second :'(

What camera? Most have a bulb mode so you can keep the shutter open as long as you like. You start to get reciprocal failure after a few seconds and I'm afraid this is where my knowledge of film ends!

Ah yes of course.... bulb! I was thinking of using my om-10 actually.

Get some Fuji Acros 100, it's reciprocity failure is nice and easy to work with, for anything over a minute, add a stop extra of light. That's pretty much it.

The manual adaptor will give you up to 30s, after that you'll need a shutter release cable but its not something I've ever needed.

cable release , ilford hp5 film ,,f8 ,,,leave it open until you get bored,,,,,go for it
