Yes
I have 2 pictures,

one is of my 14 year old son, it was one of those just playing with the camera moments, but i really like the picture, unfortunatly he had a serisous case of chapped lips at the time.

his bottom lip was swollen and blothchy. I could remove the blotches myself but is there any way to reduce the size, I ahve tried a couple of things and failed miserably.

and on a similair vain
I have a pic I like of a female friend, but unfortunatly she has a bit of a double chin on one (bad angle etc) is there any nice way to mask that other than trying to recreate and re take the pic?

I can post the one of my son if it will help, but not the other really

thanks in advance

Yes to both!
Do you have PS?
In PS in the filter actions, you will find tools that will do as you require, such as the 'Pucker' tool to shrink lips.
The turbulance tool will help reduce a double chin ... use a biggish brush size as it will yield softer results.

Re Pic 1. Try drawing a tight freehand mask around that swollen lip. Next - promote or convert the mask to a layer. You can then use the deformation tool to drag the shape of the lip thinner.

Unfortunately it will still leave some retouching and blending work around the new lip which can only really be done by hand, and requires quite a bit of practice. It sounds like much the same applies to your double chin problem.

These sort of jobs require some basic artistic skill tbh, and also good judgment as to whether you should do it at all or just charge it up to experience and retake the shot. :)

Yeah I do have cs2, not had it for long and dont really know many of the tools, but thanks its certainly given me somethgin to look at

where would i find the "pucker tool" ?

Click Filters>Liquify
Youll have a range of tools pop up on your left, the Pucker tool is there among others.

Have a play, its good fun and so long as the changes you make are subtle, you should be ok.

Be interested to see how you get on with the pic of your son.
Good luck

On a similar vein, I have some flyaway hair that needs fixing. I've got rid of the worst of it by cloning but it is still sticking up a little and needs flattening down a bit. Would the liquefy tool be the one to use here too?

I also have to close up a bit on a shirt that has come unbuttoned so that the skin isn't showing, what would be the best way to go about that?

I know cs2 well for general photo stuff but I'm not so hot on fixing specific photo problems such as these.
