Earlier today I was doing my best to explain the basics of exposure to someone.

Explaining it simply as 'give and take' always seems to make it easy to understand.

Why do magazines and many books make it out to be so complicated?

I often wonder why exposure is so easy to understand but so hard to explain. Please, pray, how does 'give and take' help explain? I would find this useful when boring my friends...

When im explaining it I always tell people that it will just click and it usually does. It does seem like a hard thing to comprehend at the start when really its fairly simple.
