Irregular Train Passenger

Or just use an iPhone with Apple Pay :)

Apple Pay ! - I wouldn't rely on that one iota, I do that much walking around and such long hours when I'm down the smoke my iPhone battery would run out long before the day's end. I have used my contactless debit card but don't like getting it out at the barrier - it's far to easy for someone to snatch it and run or have your pocket dipped. I use the Oyster card. If that goes it will only have £20-£30 on it max.

Mine is, saves me having to remember my oyster when I visit London, so massively convenient. Had the bank not sent me a contactless last time I needed a new one, I would have complained.

Mine is now but wasn't when I last had to be up in Lungdung almost a year ago. I thought it was so left the ticket office queue to do the card thing only to discover that it was the credit card I'd left at home that was contactless, not the debit card! Only used the contactless feature once and that was purely to test Mrs Nod's contactless payment machine.

Turn off wifi and Bluetooth if you can on the iPhone. It kills the battery when not connected to a network.

My iPhone easily lasts two days. I happily leave home with only 30% left and do the tubes four times etc.

Btw you don't have to get you card out, it will work through you wallet or wherever you've got it. And even when they have it, it is limited to five transactions of £30 maximum. I'd be more concerns about them snatching a £1000 phone. But in reality none of it is really something to worry about.
