If you have a Tescos clubcard and in the market for a Ipod Shuffle 512Mb. It will cost just under £49. (£2.00 cheaper than elsewhere) plus you will get an extra 999 clubcard points which amounts to 1047 clubcard points. This is worth £10.47 in Tesco when the vouchers come through, or they are worth 4 (four) times as much if you use them on clubcard deals such as days out, holidays, RAC cover, airport parking etc. i.e over £40.00 so in effect if your after an ipod shuffle and have a use for the vouchers (which have a 2 year life) you are only paying just over £7.00 for the ipod.
If you decide you don't want the ipod and get a refund as to whether you get to keep extra clubcard points is debateable. Worth a try though.
This is available in Tesco Extra and some Superstores until 18-4-06 Not online. It may possibly include other Ipods too but you'd have to cheque instore to find out.

Now if that was an Ipod Nano.......... ;)

As I said the clubcard points may be on all Ipods. My son wants one for his birthday so I'm looking into it.

Just buy a few and flog them on ebay, keeping the clubcard points.

its still an ipod though, so remember you get unreliability, poor scratch resistance, poor battery life and poor build quality all as standard features

(sorry extremely unpleased ipod owner here, go buy a creative zen, much much better!)

I did buy a DVD once from Tesco that had extra clubcard points, I took it back and got my money back, didn't lose the clubcard points though. Provided you don't make a habit of taking stuff back (you have to fill a form in sometimes for a refund) It might be worth a try.
Tesco also have a policy that if you buy any item and get charged more than the price displayed, report it at the Customer advice desk, you can claim all your money back and still keep the item.
