Hi all is there any way to import raw files from iphoto into light room or bridge

thanks graham

You should have the images saved separately from iphoto somewhere. iphoto is just a viewer with its own library copied from the original file.

It might not be the quickest but you could export the images from iPhoto in Raw format to either your desktop or a specific folder and then open LR and import the images from said location.

graham,

right click on the raw file in iphoto and it will give you an option to show original file or original location. That will give you direct access to the file.

Alternatively, in the preferences section of iphoto, tell it to use an external editor for RAW files. It will then open the editor when you double click to edit the raws in your library.

thanks

Use the export function not drag and drop, that gives you the option of exporting the RAW file. It's in the drop down menu.
