iPhoto Problems

Any Mac users had problems downloading to iPhoto.
Everything was fine until I started to use an 8GB card.
Everything works fine until about 200ish raw images load and then the program freezes.
I now have to load only a selection at a time to prevent a freeze.

Solutions ? ...Don't say use a 1GB card (or get a PC -hat would be hell !)

I wonder if this could be a memory problem? How much do you have?
Does the program stop responding ( PC`s freeze!) when you import them or when it is displaying the images?
May also be worth having a look on the Apple forums.

I don't think the memory is the problem as I'm working with 4GB ram.
It freezes up after loading a certain number of shots.
When I reboot and start iPhoto the prog states x number of shots have been imported and offers option to import into iPhoto.
I'll take your advice and check out the mac forums.

i-life '08 ?

If not it is improved with i-life '08, if you are using an earlier edition, carefully back everything up right now, I lost alot of stuff, I can still see it but can't get to it, my mate keeps promising to come and get it for me, lol !

OK, here is what I do, dead easy, download to a folder on the desktop, drop a copy into an external HD, then drag the same images into i-photo and let it do its thing, I only use 2GB cards though !
