iPhoto help please

How can you access folders of photographs on a remote drive (NAS) from within iPhoto without importing them?

And, assuming this can be done, I guess that a second machine running iPhoto could also access the remote folders in the same way?

i think you have to import photos to view them in iphoto as far as i know??

Don't know if this works, but...

In the iPhoto menu on the left, click preferences, then go to advanced. There is an option to turn off import photos to iphoto library. I assume this keeps your pictures on your remote drive and references them instead of copying them to the iphoto folder in the mac harddrive.

I hate iphoto! Maybe try one of the free trials of aperture or lightroom and see how you get on with it? I went for lightroom in the end and haven't looked back.
