Not really. I went from 4 to 5 and other than a few gimicks I see no difference.
Suppose it depends on how much you use the phone on a day to day basis for thing's other than making calls.

There's a big difference between the 4 and 5, and a lot more than you'd think between the 4s and 5, apart from the screen, mainly in the processing areas and of course the fact that its 4g. 4g is expensive at the moment but of course prices will drop as the competition develops so worth bearing in mind.

I went from 4 to 5. Like I said though, depends on how much you use the other functions other than making calls.

im a massive iphone fan and ive always upgraded each time a new one was released until the 5 that is, normally i HAVE to have it but this time nothing grabbed me
The difference is just too small for me to bother other than 4G and i cant use it for at least 6months round here so im not going to bother until august 2013 when im due to upgrade - by which point apple will have something new on the cards and il probably just wait for that.
So for the first time it looks like im going to skip an iGeneration :/

I would agree.
I would also add, Apple seem to have finally sorted out the antenna problems, the 5 will hold a call where many other phones just give up and drop it.
Same place, same sim, the 5 will manage to maintain a call with 0 to 1 bar of signal, all my previous iPhone's and the Samsung S3 would break up and drop out (I got the S3 as my upgrade in September and sold it to fund the iPhone 5).
