iPad photo albums problem. *Resolved*

I want to add some albums of photos from my PC to my iPad 4 and am trying to do so by sync'ing with iTunes.
When I select an album (folder) from my PC it uploads fine to the iPad and is visible and useable in Photos > Albums.

However, when I select another folder to sync as a new album it just over-writes the album I've just uploaded - I've tried both creating the new album on the iPad 1st and with just leaving iTunes to do it but in every case sync'ing a 2nd folder of photos deletes the 1st on the iPad.

Can anyone help before I do it damage please?

They are both sub-folders of folders, but not the same folder ... 2 different folders on my Desktop.
I am only trying to sync the sub-folders, not either of the folders.
 
it shows how easy it is to use ipads... after wasting 2days I got something done via iphoto syncing, but in the end just use Zenfolio app and pull images straight from the cloud. As you may guess I am relpacing ipad with something else soon.

You made me think ... thanks :D

Moving all of the sub-folders I want to sync into a single folder on my PC and then sync'ing that folder through iTunes does what I want it to do :)
