Ipad image order

Just experienced an annoying anomaly with uploading images to Ipad and they being displayed in “random” order despite having consecutive file names.

Investigation on Apple forum suggests that it orders by taken date. Not very helpful.

Have deleted images from pad, the cache and renamed but still order “incorrect”. No way of changing order within Ipad that I can see.

Considering one of the many benefits of Ipad is its display for presentation, then basic ordering of an album contents seems bare minimum.

Anyone aware of a fix or even an App?

The only way I've been able to order the photos on an iPad is through iPhoto (on a Mac). Have trawled the Apple forums a while back and this seemed to be the universal answer people got when asking the same question.
